On May 4, USAID's Justice For All Program held a launching ceremony in the presence of the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Barrister Shafique Ahmed, the Director of the National Legal Aid Services Organization, Syed Aminul Islam, and the U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dan W. Mozena.


Ambassador Mozena expressed his support for the shared goals of USAID and the Government of Bangladesh, and pledged to assist the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, the National Legal Aid Services Organization, and the courts, to bring fair and efficient justice for all, especially for vulnerable groups, including women and the poor. Minister Ahmed declared Justice for All officially launched and thanked USAID and the U.S. Government for support to the people of Bangladesh, "I extend my heartfelt thanks to the government and people of the United States of America and also his Excellency, the Ambassador who has come forward to help the people who are in need of legal aid."


The Director of NASLO remarked, "As our partnership begins, I invite 'Justice for All' to connect to our strategic priorities and assist us in ensuring the legal rights of citizens to access the formal justice system and work with us to make our system more time friendly and responsive to the needs of people."
