In 2014, USAID’s Justice for All (JFA) launched the Women in Justice Initiative, a series of activities designed to mobilize women judges and legal professionals, empower female leaders, and encourage young law students to embrace careers in the judiciary and legal professions. Through dialogue sessions, discussion meetings, and a problem-solving forum, JFA is working with reform constituencies, including both women and men, to advance gender equity and empower legal professionals and law students. The Women in Justice Initiative is implemented in collaboration with Bangladesh Women Judges Association (BWJA) and a broad coalition of stakeholders including universities and professional associations.
