Objective 3: Increase Legal Literacy Among Target Populations

Activities to increase legal literacy among target populations connect government counterparts and civil society organizations to transfer critical legal knowledge and the tools to targeted communities. Through a competitive grants program, USAID's Justice for All Program provides material support to organizations that propose concrete activities to improve access to justice, support the delivery of legal aid services, empower women, advance justice sector reforms, and implement information, outreach, and sensitization campaigns. The Program combines legal awareness campaigns and the establishment of community-based support networks and holistic accompaniment programs that assist citizens in effectively exercising their legal rights and accessing formal justice institutions.
